This whole "Iraq War" is so sick. I followed the link and read Sandmonkey's commentary. Oh, now they need to go get Muqtada, and things will start looking up? If it were that easy, I would be on Team America, pumping my fist (F$@# Yeah!)
Deposing and killing Saddam was an impotent, futile and stupid move, even if the goal were to establish some beachhead of democracy for the benefit of Iraqis. With a 50% literacy rate, ...well, talk about a long hard slog into a bog.... Now, if the goal was to destabilize the region either as cover for some other military maneuvers, to establish influence (and keep out the Chinese?) (or heck, I don' know, to send the price of oil soaring for one's own profit?) Then, well, progress has been made. Unfortunately, it's just way too easy and inexpensive to sabotage oil pipelines. So "W" still hasn't really "discovered" any recoverable oil! Duh!!!
Unfortunately, the historic political ideals of the USA are being gradually abandoned in the pursuit.... Mass Murder, Blood for Oil, ...sick. Very sick.
Gosh, I have an idea, why not establish that beachhead closer to the beach? Like in the presumably friendly and grateful benefactor state of Kuwait?!? Surely THEY want democracy? DON'T they?!? Awwwww, shucks....

Aya,
Congratulations for your website. I really appreciate it, touching sometimes similar topics, I was looking for a blog about Islam like yours for quite a long time.
This image is quite a witty one. What can we say ?
I do really appreciate your intellectual honesty, and will definitely come back again.
Best,
John
